Hikvision Thermographic Cameras monitor body temperature with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.5 ℃ identifying anyone with a high body temperature – a critical solution in the early detection of Coronavirus symptoms.
With the addition of a “Black Body” unit we can increase the accuracy of the sensor by 0.2℃ of a degree to take it from 0.5℃ to 0.3℃ of a degree.
The temperature can be set to trigger a notification if it exceeds a particular level that might indicate a fever and the camera can provide a local alarm with its inbuilt strobe light and audio alarm as an alert to detection.
Hikvision Bullet or Turret Fever Screening Thermographic Cameras feature AI human detection to fix the measurement areas to human bodies which reduces false alarms caused by other heat sources.
These cameras work on thermal sensitivity. Any object with temperatures above absolute zero emits a detectable amount of radiation. A thermal camera converts IR radiation in to greyscale values and matches greyscale values to temperature through an algorithm. It only takes a second for these thermal camera solutions to detect temperature elevations in a person which allows efficient screening of large numbers of people at a time. And as they provide a non-contact solution they are safe to use where social distancing is required.
A person identifying with a fever can then use a thermometer as a secondary follow up step to double-check whether a fever is present.
We can offer two mounted camera solutions and one handheld. Our solutions are outlined below with key features shown to the right.

These solutions start from £695 and can be used in many applications - factories, offices, shops, railways, airports and hospitals. Speak to our team to discuss your specific needs.
Order yours todayOutdoor wind and sun can easily affect the surface temperatures of human bodies and the working status of the camera, which results in a deviation between the measured body surface temperature and the actual body temperature . To ensure the accuracy, we strongly recommend applying the solutions indoors.
The cameras are able to use human body detection technology, so other heat sources will not cause false alarms.
The cameras need to be warmed up before using. Turn them on and wait for 5 minutes if using the handheld camera and 30 minutes for the bullet or turret cameras.
